A worked example
2/9 ÷ 2/3 = 1/3
- Keep the first fraction, change ÷ to ×, flip the second: 2/9 × 3/2
- Multiply straight across: 2 × 3 = 6 on top, 9 × 2 = 18 on the bottom, so 6/18
- Divide top and bottom by 6: 1/3
