  1. A circle has a radius of 84 cm. Using π ≈ 22/7, what is its circumference? 528 cm
  2. A circle has a radius of 63 cm. Using π ≈ 22/7, what is its circumference? 396 cm
  3. A circle has a radius of 7 cm. Using π ≈ 22/7, what is its circumference? 44 cm
  4. A circle has a radius of 42 cm. Using π ≈ 22/7, what is its circumference? 264 cm
  5. A circle has a radius of 21 cm. Using π ≈ 22/7, what is its circumference? 132 cm
  6. A circle has a radius of 28 cm. Using π ≈ 22/7, what is its circumference? 176 cm
  7. A circle has a radius of 77 cm. Using π ≈ 22/7, what is its circumference? 484 cm
  8. A circle has a radius of 49 cm. Using π ≈ 22/7, what is its circumference? 308 cm

These eight are one sample at medium difficulty — the generator makes a different set every time.

A worked example

A circle has a radius of 84 cm. Using π ≈ 22/7, what is its circumference? 528 cm

  1. Circumference = 2 × π × radius = 2 × 22/7 × 84
  2. Divide by the 7 first: 84 ÷ 7 = 12
  3. 2 × 22 × 12 = 528 cm

Every problem on the answer key can show its steps like this — turn on “Show steps” before downloading.

About these worksheets

Each problem states its own measurements, so the reasoning is the same but the arithmetic is new every time. Every sheet is generated fresh, so you can print a new one on the same skill as often as you need — different numbers, same difficulty.

Pick how many problems you want and whether they should be easy, medium or hard, then download a PDF with a matching answer key. The key can show the worked steps for every problem, which is what a parent needs to see where a wrong answer went wrong.
